SANTORINI INFORMATION

town, the capital of Santorini. Situated on the rim of the Caldera,
with spectacular view of the sea and the volcano.
Official Language The official language of the Congress
is English. Therefore, all correspondence, lectures and presentations will be in English.

Technical Exhibition An International exhibition of
technical equipment and pharmaceutical products will be organized within the Congress
Site.
Entry Formalities No specific requirement are needed for
visitors from countries-members of the European
Union. For all other countries visas are available on
a reciprocal basis.

been no changes in procedure. Usually airlines and
travel agents are well informed about such requirements. Health certificates are required for visitors coming from

How to reach Santorini
Santorini can either be reached by air through Athens or directly from many European cities by charter flights. It can also be reached by ferry boat or Hydrofoil (speed boat) from Piraeus (Athens harbour).
Climate and Clothing
The average temperature in June is 24° C or 75° Fahrenheit. For this time of the year light clothing is recommended. In the evenings the temperature is cool and a sweater is usually required.
Banks
Branches of the most important banks operate daily except weekends from 08:30 to 14:30 hrs.
Exchange
"Euro" is Greece's official currency. Currency can be exchanged at your hotel, your travel agent or other tourist offices operating in the city, as well as the banks.
Local Transportation
Bus transportation will be provided from the main hotels to conference center during the meeting.
Taxis
To find a taxi is quite easy in the city.
